Kenneth E. Richards, 87, formerly of Richwood, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 at Union Manor Nursing Center.
He was retired from the railroad and the Scott Company, then worked as a security guard. He was a member of Marysville Moose Lodge 1651. He was born April 27, 1912, in Marion to the late Ernest E. and Mary Richards and was predeceased by a brother, a sister and a grandchild. He was preceded in death on Dec. 6, 1988, by his wife, Amelia Louise Richards whom he married Nov. 11, 1957, in Newport, Ky. He is survived by three sons, Dick Richards of Bellefontaine, John Richards of Marysville and Ernie Richards of Delaware; three daughters, Janice Foos of Willoughby, Mary Richards of Marysville and Pat (Roger) Grube of Richwood; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Yeager of Bellefontaine and Juanita Phillips of West Liberty. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services. Following cremation, a private burial of his ashes next to his wife will be held at the Claibourne Cemetery.
