LARUE — Robert Charles Teets Sr., age 76, of LaRue, died Sunday morning, May 7, 2000, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
He was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Union County, to parents Ernest William and Anna (Timmons) Teets. He retired in 1986 after 36 years of service at Central Soya in Marion as an extraction operator. On Feb. 2, 1943, at the St. Mary's Rectory in Marion, he married the former Mary Kathryne Luckett and she sur-vives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert Charles (Violet) Teets Jr. of Cassadega, Fla. and Thomas Gregory (Jan) Teets of Kenton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy Eugene (Betty) Teets of Marion and Michael (Sharon) Teets of Radnor; and one sister, Margaret Teets Brown of Marion. Robert enjoyed reading and repairing and rewinding electric motors. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at the LaRue Cemetery and there will be no calling hours, this in keeping with his wishes. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 5455 N. High St, Columbus. Arrangements are being handled by the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue.
