Starling L. Longberry
Starling L. Longberry, 91, of rural Richwood died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, af Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
He was a retired fanner, a member of the former Grace Chapel United Methodist Church and had attended McKendree United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf at the Kenton Memorial Golf Course and he enjoyed mowing his yard.
He was born Feb. 21, 1909, at his current home to the late Othel R. and Sylvia Hartman Longberry and was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Long-berry.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Cook Longberry whom he married June 1,1935, in Bellefontaine; a daughter, Linda (Olen) McAllister of Columbus; a granddaughter, Dixie (Russell) Bryant of Springfield; and a sister, Erdene Longberry of Richwood.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Revs. Gene Speich and Bryan Meadows will officiate and burial will be at the Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to McKendree United Methodist Church, 28414 Route 739, West Mansfield, Ohio 43358.
