RICHWOOD — Edith M. (Babe) Osborne, age 91, of Richwood, formerly of the Covington, Ky. area, died early Saturday morning, May 5, 2001, at the Marion General Hospital.
She was born June 19, 1909, in Marion, to the late Simon Peter and Mary (Siders) Keener. She was married to the late Herbert Osborne, who died in July of 1971. She is survived by two sisters, June Keener of Marion and Donna Holt of Richwood; 19 nieces and nephews, and numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, George W. Keener and Francis E. Keener, and three sisters, Grace M. Hearn, Mary E. Hatcher and Ethel Kuhn. Babe was a former grocery store owner in Covington and had attended the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Marion. Friends may call today from 4-7 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Marion, with the Rev. J. Weston Jones officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Covington, Ky. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 5455 N.
