Robert L. Stallsmith
Robert L. Stallsmith, 77, of Richwood died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Marion General Hospital.
He was a 1942 graduate of Richwood High School and worked as a security guard for United at The Scott Co. in Marysville. He was a member of the Essex Knights of Pythias and a life member of the N.R.A. and had attended the Essex United Methodist Church.
He was born in Union County to the late David G. and Leah Baker Stallsmith.
He is survived by two sons, David (Doris) Stallsmith of LaRue and John (Danise) Stallsmith of Richwood; grandchildren, Rob, Mike (Kelly) and Chad (Kim) Stallsmith and Erin and Jenny Stallsmith; step-grandchildren, Tim Houk, Jamie (Jeremy) Hook and Andrew Flagg; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jacob, Hunter and Brock Stallsmith, Colton Daily and Brock Landon; step-great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Kyle Hook; a sister, Betty (Lowen) Meyers of Lucky; the mother of his children, Rose Marie Pearson of Sarasota, Fla.; and a special friend, Marie Schillings of Broadway.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Harley Roston will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the church.
