Weldon W. Rouse
Weldon W. Rouse, 77, of Prospect died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at his
He was a 1942 graduate of the Prospect High School and was a WWII verteran  in the navy. When he turned from the war, he worked with his parents at the former Rouse Sales and Service in Prospect. He later worked at G.T.E. and retired in 1984 from the Whirlpool Corp. after nearly 30 years of service.
He was a lifetime member of the Verne I. Mounts American Legion Post in Pr6spect. He had formerly been involved with the Marion Regional Planning, Junior Achievement and Prospect Lions clubs.
He was born July 2, 1924, in Prospect to the late Ivan H. and Volieta (Stiffler) Rouse.
On Sept. 1, 1946, in Mount Eaton he married Wanda Jane (Edler) and she survives. Also surviving are: two sons, Michael W. (Sharon) Rouse of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., and John (Penne) Rouse of Prospect; three daughters, Linda ( Dr. Charles) Colbert of Boynton Beach, Fla., Lu Ann (Edwin) Neely of Dana Point, Ca., and Jo Ann (Jeff) Marsh of Marion; seven grandchildren, Christopher Colbert, Amanda and Shannon Neely, Heather and Robert Rouse, Justin Marsh and Samantha Rouse.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. There will be no public calling hours and a private burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery with the Rev. Loren Heiser officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 317 W. Church St., Marion, Oh., 43302, and, or the Quality of Life Hospice, 278 Barks Road, Marion, Oh., 43302.
