Curtis Lee Speakman, infant son of Dale and Becky Nelson Speakman Jr. of rural Richwood died at home Wednesday, Nov. 21,2001.
He was born in Marysville Sept. 3,2001, and at the age of three weeks was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy which is not curable. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Dan and Peggy Nelson of Richwood; his great-grandmother, Jo Hendrickson of Marion; and great-great-grandmother, Mary Hunsman of Marion; his paternal grandfather, Dale Speakman Sr. of Marysville; great-great-grandmother, Cora Speakman of Marysville; and two sisters, Katelynn Nelson and Deseria Fryman. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. George Freer will officiate and burial will be at the Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Loving Care Hospice, 113 S. Main St., Marysville, or S.M.A. National Headquarters, P.O.
