Opal B. Longberry
Opal B. Longberry, 91, of rural Richwood, died Wednesday, Dec. 12,2001, at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
She was a 1928 graduate of Byhalia High School and was a homemaker. She was a former member of Grace Chapel and its WSCS and the Progressive Buds Garden Club. She attended York-McKendree United Methodist Church.
She was born June 4, 1910, in Union County to the late Kelly and Maude Looman Cook and was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Cook and a sister, Hazel Clark. She married Starling L. Longberry and he died Sept. 16, 2000.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Olen) McAllister of Columbus; and a granddaughter, Dixie (Russell) Bryant of Springfield
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Donald Moceri will officiate and burial will be at the Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the York-McKendree church 28414 Route 739, West Mansfield, Ohio 43358.
