Wesley Benton "Bennie" Withrow
NEW BLOOMINGTON Wesley Benton "Bennie" With-row, age 78, of New Blooming-ton, died Tuesday, Dec. 18,2001, at 12:30 a.m. at Marion Manor.
He was born Sept. 1,1923, in LaRue, to the late John and Nellie (Jones) Withrow.
On June 26,1948, he married Patricia Fraker and she survives.
Also surviving are seven children, Mrs. Myra (Glenn) Swan of Grove-town, Ga., Mrs. June     (David) Johnston       of Burke, Va., Mrs. Jonell (Mike) Au-genstein of Wor-thington, George (Nancy) Withrow Of LaRue, Mrs    Jan (Ted)
Persinger of New Bloomington, Mrs. Jill Seiter of Worthington and Jon Withrow of Abingdon, Md.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Barbara (Frank) Spitzer of LaRue. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Danner.
Mr. Withrow retired as plant superintendent from Todco Overhead Door in the loading dock division. After he retired, he remained active as mayor of New Bloomington and was instrumental in obtaining funds for and development of the sanitation system in New Bloomington. He was also a past member of the Moose Lodge in Marion.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Dan Kiger. Burial in the Agosta Cemetery in New Bloomington. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday
Those who wish may make contributions to the Marion General Hospital Foundation for RX Marion, in care of the social work department at Marion General Hospital.
