Judith Lucille Forney Elliott
Judith Lucille Forney Elliott, 73, of Richwood died Thursday. Jan. 17,2002, at the home of her daughter, Cyndi Fillinger of Rich wood.
She was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School and hag attended The Ohio State University. She retired in 1992 as editor and general manager of the Richwood Gazette where she began her journalism career as secretary for editor and owner George Kei gley.
She was actively involved in every aspect of the Richwood com munity, holding membership and offices in these organizations: North Union Athletic Complex, one of the original five board members, secretary and president; Richwood Elementary Parent Teacher Association; RichwoooVNorth Union Band Boosters; Rich wood/North Union Athletic Boosters; North Union FFA (honorary member); Richwood Baseball for boys, First United Methodist Church King's Daughters; Ohio Child Conservation League; Richwood Village Council; Richwood American Legion Baccarat Post 40 Auxiliary; Richwood VFW Post 870; Richwoodj-Park Commission; Union County Republican Women; Magnetic; Springs Polio Foundation; Columbus Children's Hospital Twig 40jrj
and the Friends of Camp Perry.    
■ She was born April 28,1928, in Columbus, the only child of the late John Forney, and Betty Clafflin Brill and was predeceased bC ^daughter, Angela Sue Elliott. She married Douglass Westbrook Elliott Sr. in January of 1949 and he died in August 1989.
She is survived by two daughters, Victoria Lee (Tom) Phillio of Evansville, Ind., and Cynthia Anne (John) Fillinger of Richwood, three sons, Douglass Westbrook (Barbara) Elliott II of CIarksville Tenn., Lance Marshall (Marcy) Elliott of Richwood and Greggory Randolph Elliott of Columbus; 12 grandchildren, Kelleen Fillingef Huff, Breht Fillinger, Amber Fillinger, Brandon, Blake and Blaize Elliott, Nathan, Judith Jeannette and Emily Elliott and Erin, Tracy and Stephanie Sharp; and two great-grandchildren, Elliott Bigler and Jacob Huff.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Claibourne Cemetery in Richwood. The Rev. Rick Morris will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Judith L. Elliott Memorial Fund, Richwood Banking Co., 28 N. Franklin St., Rich-wood, Ohio 43344.
