John J. Shirk Jr., 68, of rural Richwood died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at his home. He had worked as a janitor at the former Medcenter Hospital in Marion. He also sold Prudential Insurance and had an Omar then a Vickies Bakery routes. He was a past member of the Eagle Lodge in Kenton. He enjoyed spending time at home listening to the radio and .vatching sports on television. He was also an avid gardener. He was born July 4, 1934, in Peoria to the late John J. and Jessie :.unice Laughorn Shirk Sr. and was predeceased by three sisters, Setty J. Rider, Wilma F. Emmons and Joan Shirk; and a brother, Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's loice.
