Sarah May Reichardt
MARION — Sarah May Reichardt, age 92, of 4010 LaRue-Green Camp Road, near Green Camp, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at 10:45 a.m. at Marion Manor.
She was born May 1,1910, in Allen Center, Union County, to the late David Albert and Elizabeth (Reed) Longnecker.
On April, 5,1930, she married Clifford Paul (Slim) Reichardt and he died May 25,1971.
She is survived by one daughter, Ms. Margaret J. West of Green Camp; one granddaughter, Christina West of Green Camp; and. two great-granddaughters, Saretta Shumate and Sara Cockerel! both of Green Camp.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lois Sandra Reichardt; one brother, John Longnecker; and two sisters, Gladys Longnecker and Cora Barber.
Mrs. Reichardt was a home-maker, had worked for Carey Farms and delivered mobile meals. She was a member of the Emanuel Reformed Church where she taught Sunday school, was church historian and member of the Women's Guild. She graduated from Green Camp High School and was a member of the Marion County Historical Society, the Green Camp Senior Citizens and the Happy Home-makers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Emanuel Reformed Church. Minister will be the Rev. David C. Lippert. Burial in the Green Camp Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday.
