PROSPECT — Donald A. "Ted" McPherson, age 80, of 210 Farnum St., Prospect, died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at 7:30 a.m. at his residence.
He was born May 22,1923, in Prospect, to the late George and Nettie (Stoner) McPherson.
He first married Betty Griffith and she died in 1946, and then he married Noreen Thompson on Sept. 28, 1950, and she died June 11,2002.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis A. McPherson of Prospect and David E. (Carolyn) McPherson of Marion; one granddaughter, Theresa
McPherson of Marion; and one sister, Carrie McWilhams of Columbus; plus nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Vernon, George and Charles McPherson are deceased.
Mr. McPherson was a retired sales manager having worked first at Huber Manufacturing and then at Galion Dresser Company. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy, member for 57 years of the Verne Mounts Post 368 American Legion of Prospect He was a former member of Marion Lodge 70 F & AM.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Prospect Cemetery with the Rev. C. Rorke Warne officiating. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Marion Area Veterans Council.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Quality of Life Hospice at 278 Barks Rd., Marion, OH 43302.
