David N. Baird

David N. Baird, 55, of rural Richwood died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at his home.
He was a hard-working farmer and a dedicated and active member of the Richwood First Baptist Church where he held many leadership positions over the years. He was a member of the Taylor Township Zoning Committee and Ohio Sheep Improvement Association, a former member of the Marysville Young Farmers and a 15-year member )f the Union County Fair Board. He had attained the American Farmer Degree.
In the last few years, he enjoyed taking motorcycle rides and vis-ting friends and family and he had an open door policy at his home, He was supportive of neighbors, friends and family and people  always knew where they stood with him. His direct but fair approach was felt by many people.
He was born May 16, 1948, in Zanesville to the late John and Helen Zimmerman Baird.
He is survived by three children, Natalie Baird of Boston, Mass.;  \ngela (Marc) Counts of Raymond and Lucas Baird of Columbus; is best friend and mother of their children, Sheryl Baird of   Marysville; and two sisters, Cynthia (Tom) Lewis of West Liberty nd Barbara (Harley) Hann'a of Zanesville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Rich-  
ood First Baptist Church. The Revs. Alan Perkins and Scot Gor-such will officiate and burial will be at the Ford Reed Cemetery in Taylor Township near the deceased's home. Friends may call from 4  8 p.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
Pallbearers will be John, David and Josh Lewis, Caleb Hanna and
en, Brandon, Mike and Bruce Beery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marysville FFA alumni or the church.
