Clifford Wasserbeck, 90, of Richwood died Monday, Oct. 4,2004, at the Sterling House in Marion.
He was a 1932 graduate of Richwood High School and attended the Ohio State University for two years. He was a farmer and carpenter and a member of the Carpenters & Millwrights Local 936. He belonged to several senior citizens groups in the area where he enjoyed playing euchre. He was an active and dedicated member of Emanuel Reformed Church in Green Camp. He was born June 3. 1914. in Union County to the late Frank and Rhea Smeltzer Wasserbeck. He married Ethel Swartz April 7, 1937, and she died March 13,1996. He is survived by a daughter, Carol (Bruce) Emery of Worthington; a son, Harold (Harriet) Wasscrbeck of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Sandra (Richard) Walrath, Michael (Pascale) Wasserbeck, Robert Wasserbeck, Nancy (Horia) Namtu. Karen (Richard) Jones and Scott (Wendy) Emery; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Arlis (Iva) Wasserbeck of Prospect; two sisters, Ruth Martin Anderson of Green Camp and Mary Mounts of Powell; a sister-in-law, Daisy Warner of Richwood; and a special friend, Virginia Wuertz of Marysville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Emanuel Reformed Church near Green Camp. Pastor David Lippert will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Thursday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. Memorial donations may be made to the church at 4234 Green Camp Essex Road, Marion OH 43302.
