Joshua Van Isaac Luna, 20, of Richwood died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at
the Ohio State University Medical Center due to complications from an
auto accident which occurred Sept. 11.
He was a 2002 graduate of North Union High School where he played the
saxophone in the band. He was a member of the Richwood First Baptist
Church and a member of the Soldiers of the Cross youth group and the
Central Ohio Youth for Christ group with whom he made mission trips to
India.
He had attended Ohio Dominican University, hoping to major in
communications with the goal of working in radio and he also enjoyed
working with computers. He worked at the Safari Golf Club at the
Columbus Zoo.
He was born Sept. 12, 1984, in Jasper, Ala., to Rhett Levan and
Geraldine Marie Ford Luna and was predeceased by an uncle, Charles Ford
and Grandparents, Everett Rodman and Jon Francis Luna.
He is survived by his father of Jasper; his mother of Richwood; a
sister, Jessica Luna of Richwood; his fiancee, Brook Ashley Harrell of
Columbus; grandparents, Gerald and Charlotte Ford of Richwood; his
great-grandmother, Abbie Hamilton-Shark of Richwood; and uncles and
aunts, Jim (April) Ford or Richwood and Jason (Rita) Ford of Bucyrus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck
Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Barbara Stevens will officiate and
burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8
p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral
home at 201 S. Franklin St., Richwood OH 43344.
