Arlington B. "Abe" and Elizabeth J. Howison
Arlington B. "Abe" Howison passed away on June 29, 2002 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 95. Mr. Howison was born January 25, 1907 to Elizabeth Romoser Howison and Lee Arlington Howison at the Howison farm, close to Richwood, Ohio. Arlington attended the Prospect Schools and graduated from Prospect High School in 1927. Two brothers, Marion Owen Howison, Sanford Howison and a sister Louisa Howison Yost, preceded Mr. Howison in death. Mr. Howison is survived by one brother, Charles William Howison of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Elizabeth J. (Eastman) Howison passed away on November 25, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 93. Mrs. Howison was born February 4, 1910 to Jacob and Emma Martin Eastman in Columbus, Ohio. She was an only child and graduated from Byhalia High School 1928. Elizabeth had many Eastman relatives in and around the Byhalia area.
They were married on July 2, 1934 and were married sixty-eight years. They are survived by daughter Eleanor Howison Webb and spouse Robert Webb of San Antonio, Texas and son David Arlington Howison of Alvin, Texas. Survivors also include grandson Mark Webb and wife Tara, of Waller, Texas and granddaughter Laura Webb Hoch and husband Ron Hoch of San Antonio. Grandson David A. Howison, Jr. and wife Susan of Pearland, Texas and grandson Jeffery Howison and wife Michelle of Friendswood, Texas also survive. Four great grandsons, Travis and Matthew Hoch, Kevin Webb, Trent Howison and three great-granddaughters, Marcie Webb, Kelsi Howison, and Jamie Howison also survive them.
Mr. and Mrs. Howison and family moved from the community of Prospect, Ohio to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1948 where they lived until 1994 when they moved to San Antonio, Texas.
A combined graveside service will be held on Saturday June 12th, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. at the Prospect Cemetery with Rev. David L. Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for all friends and family at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood preceding the service. The graveside service will be held immediately following at the cemetery.
