Betty M. Jerew, 78, of Tiffin died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 13, 2004,
at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. She was retired from Kmart in Marion and Columbus. She was of the Methodist faith and had recently attended the United Church of Christ in Tiffin. She enjoyed crocheting and reading and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Marysville to the late Arthur Houston and Imogene Wolford King and was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers. She married Glen Edward Jerew June 20, 1942, and he died March 10, 2001. She is survived by a son, William Edward "Ed" (Caroline) Jerew of Upper Sandusky; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Melvin King of Orient, Clyde King of Lewisville and Omer King of Richwood and Bernard Robinson of Marysville; and a sister, Irma Jean Fancey of Marysville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo in care of the funeral home.
