Larry Lee Markin
Model Train Larry Lee Markin, 62, of Richwood died early Saturday morning, February 12, 2005 at Marion General Hospital. He was born Jan 16, 1943 in Somersville, OH to the late Ernest W. Markin and Ethel Egger Markin.
He was retired from Whirlpool where he was employed for .36 years. He was a 28-year member of York McKendree United Methodist Church where he had previously served on the administrative board. He was an avid model train enthusiast and photographer.
On Jul 10, 1976 he married Janet Bliss, who survives in Richwood. He is also survived by 2 half-brothers, David Stump, Woodbridge, VA and Dick Stump, Santa Rosa, CA; brothers & sisters-in-law Jewell Markin, Emerson & Carolyn Bliss, Robert G. & Louise Bliss, Lewis & Wilma (Bliss) Oiler, numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Markin; sister Ernestine Stump and half-brother Jackie Stump.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the York McKendree United Methodist Church with Pastor Dale S. Rexroth officiating. Burial will be in York Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to York McKendree United Methodist Church or the Heart of Ohio Dialysis Center, 1730 Marion Waldo Road, Marion, OH 43302. Condolences to the family may be sent online at www.ballingerfuneralhome.com.
