Roy Cox, 80, of Richwood died Wednesday morning, March 9, 2005 at Heartland of Marysville. He was born Feb 12, 1925 in Cottle, KY to Joe Cox and Hattie Ross Cox, both deceased.
He was retired from the Civil Service. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in World War II and member of Richwood VFW Post 870. On Nov 20, 1948 he married Helen Valentine, who survives. He is also survived by 1 son, Rex Cox, Richwood; 2 daughters, Patricia Farrington, Memphis, TN; Judy Rouse, Marysville, 2 grandchildren, Carmel Jones, Bellefontaine; Cylie Hutchins, North Lewisburg, 3 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Kyle Jones, Bellefontaine and Conner Whitt, North Lewisburg. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. in the Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood, with Rev. Fred Cheney officiaiting. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 5 PM. Condolences to the family may be sent online at www.ballingerfuneralhome.com.
