Lillian Gladys Cleveland
LaRUE — Lillian Gladys Cleveland, 95, of LaRue, died Thursday March 10, 2005, at 2:20 p.m. at Heartland Of Oregon in Oregon, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 25,1910, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Frank and Ivah Mae (Williams) Branson. On July 10,1930, she married Harmon J. Cleveland and he died Oct. 1,1985.
She is survived by one son, Norman E. (Mary E.) Cleveland of Charlotte, N.C.; three daughters, Joyce Taylor of Lambertville, Mich., Arlene (Steve) Lytles of Vacaville, Calif, and Janet (Stan) Mooney of Peach Tree City, Ga.; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Oneita Copeland of LaRue and Geraldine Griffis of Akron.
Three brothers and three sisters are deceased.
Mrs. Cleveland was a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith, worked at Fulfillment Corp. for 10 years, was PTA President of Glennwood Elementary School, a member of the former Joy Club of Marion and the LaRue Senior Citizens. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend. She loved gardening, needlework and was most content when surrounded by family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 16,2005, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Heartland of Oregon and the Heartland Hospice staff.
