Blake Wesley Ryan Stayner
Blake Wesley Ryan Stayner, 16, of Prospect, died from injuries suffered
in a single car traffic accident on his way to Elgin High School Monday
morning, May 9, 2005.
He was a sophomore at Elgin High School, where he was a member of the
junior varsity baseball team and football team. He had received his
varsity letter last season. He also participated on the basketball team.

He enjoyed listening to rap music, playing golf and poker and hanging
out with his friends. His favorite football team was Michigan and his
favorite basketball team was Duke.
He was born April 17, 1989, in Marion, to the late Aaron Stayner and
Julee Renee Schmidt Runda, who survives in Prospect with her husband
Bill.
He also is survived by a sister, Makenzee Runda, and a brother, Gage
Runda, both of the home; brothers Josh Runda of Lima, and Zachary and
William Stayner of Marion; grandparents Rick Stayner of Marion, Jackie
Stayner of Cardington, Sandee (Bill) Pinnick of Prospect, Jack (Barb)
Schmidt of Greer, S.C., and Linda Stumbaugh of Lima; great-grandparents,
Shirley Thompson of Marion, and Pearl Schmidt of California; and many
aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral
Home, Richwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the
Elgin High School gymnasium, with the Rev. David L. Hoffman officiating.
Burial will be in Radnor Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Runda family for a project to
be determined at a later date at Elgin High School.
