Helen Lucille May
RICHWOOD — Helen Lucille May, age 87, of 9 Lynn St., Richwood, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at 12:55 a.m. at her residence.
She was born Oct. 17,1917, in Union County, to the late Leroy E. and Edna (Potts) Tanner.
On Oct. 4, 1946, she married Howard L. May and he died Nov. 8,1992.
She is survived by one daugh-
Point; three sons, James E. (Bonnie) Erwin of Columbus, Jerry E. (Teresa) Erwin of Columbus and Robert L. (Nancy) May of Richwood; 17 grandchildren, 31 greatgrandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clifford Tanner of Richwood, Richard Tanner of Florida and Louis (Mary) Tanner of Richwood; several nieces and nephews.
One son, Roland E. "Pete" Erwin, one daughter, Mary Lou Erwin, one grandson and one brother, Harvey Tanner, are deceased.
Mrs. May was a homemaker and also worked at Ranco Inc. as a press operator.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 8,2005, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. Minister will be the Rev. Fred Cheney. Burial in the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Richwood from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Union County Cancer Society.
