Daisy A. Warner
Daisy A. Warner, 99, of the Claibourne area, died Friday morning, Aug. 12, 2005 at The Gables at Green Pastures.
She was co-owner and operator of Warner's Locker in Claibourne for many years. The locker opened in 1946.
She was an active member of Claibourne United Methodist Church and a member of its women's society. She was a 4-H advisor for almost 25 years, with the Claibourne Sew-So's and the Merry Munchers. She was a member of the garden club, and was known throughout the area for her crochet work, having made many baby outfits and Christmas decorations.
She was proud of the fact that she was able to travel to every state in the United Males.
She was born Feb. 20, 1906, on Swartz Road in Richwood, to the late William and Lucy Sparks Swartz. On June 7, 1928, at her parents' home she married Maurice Warner, and he died Aug. 15, 1970. She also was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Claud Swartz, Christa Randall Hastedt, Esther Young, Ethyl Engle, Ethel Wasserbeck and Paul Swartz.
She is survived by two children, Mabel Reese and Charles (Jeanne) Warner of Richwood; grandchildren and great-grandchil-dren, Michael (Cindy) Warner and their family Chad and Mark, Eric (Susan) Warner and their family Alison and Robert, Amanda (Doug) Jenner and their family Alexandra and Elizabeth, Sally Jo Smith, Konni (Ted) Buskirk and their daughter Amelia (Mike) Miller and their children Skylar and Aurora, Tim (Toni) Livingston and their families, Annie (Robert) Brill, and Drew (Joy) Livingston and their children Gabe, Ella, Aggie and Julie.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James Ryhal officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Claibourne United Methodist Church and/or the Ohio 4-H Foundation.
