Clair Waldo Welch
Flag Clair Waldo Welch, 56, of Marysville, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 2,
2005, at his home after a battle with cancer.
He was a 1969 graduate of Pleasant High School and an Army veteran
during the Vietnam War. He then worked for H.P.M. in Mount Gilead and
for Berbee Bulbs in Marysville.
He formerly belonged to the Millcreek VFW Post No. 3320. He was a member
of the Marysville Eagles. He enjoyed the friendships he made at the
Flamingo Bar and Grill in Marysville.
Mr. Welch was born Nov. 18, 1948, in Kenton, to the late Herbert and
Dorothy Campbell Welch.
Surviving are his children, Hope Rheadon (Aaron) Tipton and their four
children, Meggan, Danielle, Emily and Joshua; James Michael (Julee)
Welch-Thornton and their two children, Tyler and Jake; Jeffery Lee Welch
and his three children, Anthony, Quartney and Brittney; Stephanie Lynn
(Andrew) Hughes and their three children, Allie, Ashley and Elizabeth;
brothers and sisters, Louis Welch of Marion, Gary (Lynn) Runyon of
Mansfield, Patricia (Curtis) Lester of Marion, Earthel (Dave Perry)
Welch of Mansfield, Carolyn (Robert Jr.) Howald of Richwood, and Vickie
Conaway of Mansfield; and a special friend, Joy Tucker.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Price Cemetery,
where veteran services will be conducted by the Richwood veterans. The
Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House at the Cincinnati
VA Medical Center, 3200 Vine St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
Arrangements are being handled by Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood.
