Arthur J. Paetzold
Flag MORRAL — Arthur J. Paetzold, age 88, of 4425 Osbun Road, Morral, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at 2:25 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 24,1917, in Ollie, Iowa, to the late James F. and Veronica (Adam) Paetzold. On April 25, 1946, he married Alice P. Gregg and she died Aug. 30,1991. On Nov. 11, 1995, he married Bessie M. Tyler and she survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Patty (Butch) Williams of Morral; two grandchildren, Amanda Stanley of Columbus and Veronica Shumaker at home; two brothers, Bernard Paetzold of Addison, Ill., Marc Paetzold of Winter Haven, Fla.; one sister, Gertrude Vogel of Davenport, Iowa; and sisters-in-law Delores Paetzold, and Vicky Paetzold, both of Winter Haven, two stepsons, Tim (Diana) Tyler, John (Kim) Tyler; two stepdaughters, Betty. (George) Rosenburger and Virginia (Ted) Cirko, all of Marion; 16 stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild. Two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Paetzold; and one grandchild, Christina Marie are deceased.
Mr. Paetzold was a machinist for the Erie and Con-Rail Railroads, U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II, member of the American Legion Post 162 in Marion, member of St. Mary Church in Marion, and the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral services, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday Nov. 21, 2005, at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be Father Michael Nimocks. Burial will be held in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the Marion Area Veteran Council. Prayer services will be conducted today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those who wish may make contributions to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
