Helen Marie Feasel
Helen Marie Feasel, 72, of Marysville, died Monday evening, Sept. 11, 2006, at Doctors Hospital West in Columbus.
A homemaker, she was a dedicated member of Pharisburg United Methodist Church, where she served in various capacities, such as teaching the "Heaven Bound" Sunday school class and where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Emmaus Community, and completed Disciple I and Disciple II Bible study class-as.
She was a former Cub Scout Leader, an advisor for the "Canine Kids" 4-H club and a member of the OCCL Mother's Club.
She had worked at Haffners 5 and Dime Store, General Industries and Bob Bayes Screw Machine Factory.
She enjoyed Blue Grass music, planting flowers, collecting angels and birds, painting ceramics and all kinds of crafts, sewing, and the time she spent exercising at Memorial Health Center. She also enjoyed sitting on her swing and watching traffic.
She was born June 14, 1934, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Francis and Mildred Reese Jackson. She grew up in Union County around the Pharisburg area. On June 18,1955, at the Pharisburg Church, she married Herman Nelson Feasel, and he is deceased. She also was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Jo Gibson, and a sister, Betty Laird.
Surviving are her sisters, Peggy (Glenn) Wykoff of Marysville, and Susie (Gerry) Kirkbride of Myrtle Beach; a stepson, Michael (Amy) Feasel of Richwood; a son-in-law, Calvin Gibson of Rich-wood; grandchildren, Angela (Greg) Thomas, Christopher (Lora) Gibson and Robert (Ronatta) Gibson; step-grandchildren, Mike, Chrissy, Jeffrey, Scotty, Elizabeth and Cody Feasel and Mirandia and Sam Lee; special great-grandchildren, Grant Thomas and Ryelle Gibson; four step-great-grandchildren; and many friends, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Pharisburg United Methodist Church with the Revs. Mo Dunn and Debbie Nance officiating, Burial will be in Broadway Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pharisburg United Methodist Church at 13317 Route 347, Marysville, OH 43040.
