Hazel Mae Young
Hazel Mae Young, 89, of Radnor, died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 22,
2006, at The Arbors at Delaware.
A 1935 graduate of Radnor High School, she was a homemaker, a dedicated
member of the Richwood Church of Christ and a member of its Ladies Aid
Society, and a member of the Grandmother's Club in Delaware.
She was born April 7, 1917, in Radnor, to the late Walter Scott and
Orpha Jane Darling Fryman. On Aug. 31, 1936, in Greenup, Ky., she
married Berlin "Bud" Young, and he died Nov. 3, 1994. She also was
predeceased by two grandchildren; four brothers, Austin, Fred, Robert
and Richard Fryman; and four sisters, Opal Riegel, Anna Koloff, Helen
Young and an infant sister.
Surviving are her daughter and son, Wilma Rolfe of Delaware, and Russell
(Sherry) Young of Radnor; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral
Home, Richwood. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the
Richwood Church of Christ, with the Rev. Scot Gorsuch officiating.
Burial will be in the Shoup (Thompson Township) Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Richwood Church of Christ Building
Fund, 29063 Sivey Road, Richwood, OH 43344.
