Robert L. Picklesimon, 73. of Irwin, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Heartland of Marysville.
He was a plumber by trade and worked for Kaufman Plumbing and Heating in Milford Center and also worked for Brewer Plumbing and Heating in London. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He very much appreciated his caregivers at Heartland of Marysville. He was born July 15, 1933, in Bradley County, Tenn., to the late Luther and Sara Webb Picklesimon. He also was predeceased by two sisters, Juanita Blackwell and Edna Jones. He is survived by a daughter, Deena Newell of Milford Center; a son, Robert (Caren) Picklesimon of Fresno, Calif.; grandchildren, Joey, Jenny and Jerry Newell and Robert (Erica), Jeremy, Timothy and Eric Picklesimon; great-grandchildren, Carsen Newell and Bradley Picklesimon; sisters, Lovern (Doug) Kitchen of Tennessee, Shelba (Lawrence) McMillion of Georgia, and Doris Lawn of Massachusetts; a brother, Jim (Beverly) Picklesimon of Marysville; a brother-in-law, Clyde Blackwell of Unionville Center; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Shirley Kirkpatrick of Richwood. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Unionville Center Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Cheney officiating. There will be no calling hours. Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
