LARUE — V. Jane Schmidt, age 82, of LaRue, died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at 5 a.m. at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
She was born June 10, 1923, in Marion County, to the late John and Irma (Button) Hickman. On Oct. 18,1942, she married Lowell M. Schmidt and he died Aug. 26,1987. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl L. (Erik) Johnson of LaRue; and grandchildren Jason M. (Tiffany) Johnson of Marion and Amber L. Johnson of New Bloomington. Jane was a homemaker, farm wife and worked as an aid at the old Sawyer Sanitarium in Marion. She graduated from Agosta High School and loved to cook, play euchre and was an avid reader. She was entirely devoted to her family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Burial in the Agosta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Those who wish may make contributions to either the Fairhaven Community, The Wyandot County Dementia/Alzheimers Assn, or the Wyandot County Hospice.
