Reah Dale Fryman
Reah Dale Fryman, 90, of Richwood, died peacefully in her sleep early Saturday morning, Feb. 25, 2006, at the Marion Manor Nursing Home.
She worked 25 years for Dr. William Bowen, the local veterinarian, and his wife.
She was a longtime member of the Richwood Church of Christ where she was "Aunt Dale" to everyone. She was the custodian for 40 years and prepared Communion each week. She faithfully attended church services. Ladies Aid meetings and helped with ice cream socials and any church activity.
She was a member of the Richwood Civic Center where she enjoyed the daily meals as well as the center's one-day trips. She also was a member of the former Solitaires Club.
She was born Sept. 4, 1915, in Delaware County, to the late Thomas Ray and Clara Rider Fryman. As a toddler she moved with her family to the family farm on Route 4 just south of Fulton Creek. She worked on the farm until 1950 when she moved into Richwood on East Ottawa, where she resided with her sister, Mildred Glass, and family.
She was the last of her family, also being predeceased by brothers and sisters. Perry "Bud" Fryman, Clarice Fryman, Pauline Neel, Mildred Glass and Evelyn Johnson. She was the only member of her family to live until the age of 90.
Surviving are Pauline's children, Harold (Juanita) Neel of Prospect, Barbara (Dick) Schultz of Radnor, and Don (Pam) Neel of Richwood and their families; Mildred's children, Lynne (Gary) Led-ley, Gary (Lois) Glass and Nancy (Jim) Wiley, all of Richwood, and their families, Chris and Leigh Ann Glass, and Chad, Lindsey, Kyle and Cheyenne Wiley; Evelyn's children. Larry Samson of Columbus, Randy Cooper of Georgia, Donna Smith of West Virginia, and Terry Cooper of Galloway; and her special caregivers. Tammy, Barb, Tina, Calyssa and Maxine who made it possible for her to live at home until 11 months ago.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Rich-wood Church of Christ, where calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Scot Gorsuch will officiate and burial will be in the Shoup (Thompson Township) Cemetery near Radnor.
Pallbearers will be Dick Schultz, Don Neel, Gary Ledley, Jim Wiley, Gary Glass, Chris Glass, Chad Wiley and Kyle Wiley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood Church of Christ Building Fund.
Arrangements are being handled by Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood.
