LARUE — James Albert Miller, age 83, of the LaRue area, died at 9:48 a.m. Monday, April 2,2007, at the emergency room at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Dec. 1,1923. in Marion, to the late Emmett and Gertrude (Rohr) Miller.
On Aug. 21, 1965, he married Mabel V. Sipes and she died Jan. 29,2003.
He is survived by two sons, Jeff (Dawn) Miller of Richwood and David A. (Barb) Baldwin of Bucyrus; two daughters, Ellen (Floyd) Pen-well of Forest and Donna (Bob) Bender of Prospect; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Miller of Florida. He was preceded in death by one son, James Baldwin; two brothers, Leo and Joe Miller; and one sister, Mary Fown.
Mr. Miller was a carpenter and farmer and also worked at J. Lenco Co. for 10 years, member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church and member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton. He loved woodworking, gardening and fishing.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5,2007, at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Father Anthony Dinovo will officiate. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in LaRue.
