RICHWOOD — Dr. Edward F. Cowgill, 66, 44 George St., former local chiropractor, died Sunday afternoon Nov 5, 1989 at Union County Memorial Hospital, Marysville, after a two-month illness.
He was bom in Union County Dec. 18, 1922, the son of Sherman and Nelle Young Cowgill.

Lucille E. Cowgill Center, she was a volunteer for the lunch program there. She also volunteered many hours at Memorial Hospital of Union County. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts and was active with the Retirees Group at the former B. F. Goodrich in Green Camp, where she had worked for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Family above all else was most important to her; her kids and grandkids were her life.

Ruth Moloney Cowgill raduated 1943 Prospect High School during World War II. She was employed in the offices of the Huber Manufacturing Co., Scioto Ordnance Plant until the war ended, and then Marion Steam Shovel.
On June 27, 1948 she married Dr. Edward Cowgill at St. Mary’s Church in Marion, where she had been baptized as an infant. They shared forty-one wonderful years together. He proceeded her in death November 5, 1989.

Thelma Stierhoff Beeney ElDRidge, 80, of Jelloway, formerly of the Richwood area, died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the Country Meadow Care Center in Belleville.
