Dean R. Somerlot, 67, of Newark, died Friday, April 2, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born February 10, 1954 in Richwood, OH to the late Raymond Somerlot and Helen (Cramer) Weaver. Dean graduated from Denison University and worked in the Newark City Schools as a teacher and coach for 35 years. He continued to work as a substitute teacher in retirement.
