![]() ![]() Shawna's most cherished role was being a devoted mother to her son, Braxton, whom she adored ,and held close to her heart. She found immense joy in nurturing and loving him, being a source of light in his life. Shawna is survived by her husband Christopher Kelson. She was the beloved daughter of Toni (Steil) and Brian Newsom (stepfather James Reese) (stepmother Brandee Newsom). Her in-laws Cassie and Dave Stone. She was a loving sister to Jessica, Julie, Sarah, Maria, Samantha, Mackenzie, and Elden, all of whom she held dear. Shawna had a heartwarming connection with her nieces and nephews, Staijha, Jayda, Anna, Colton, Mason, Da'jess, and Anthony, whom she showered with love and affection. She treasured her big extended family, creating lasting memories and bonds with each one of them. One interesting aspect of Shawna's life was she was so creative and had a way to tell fun and funny story's making all who was listening completely focused and engaged on what ever story she would be telling and her imaginary friend named Sonny, (a cute worm who she would say lived in the cracks of the walls.) Sonny served as Shawna's conscience, offering guidance, comfort, and sometimes testing her patience. Shawna would share stories of Sonny with the children, bringing laughter and joy into their lives. Despite facing her own struggles, Shawna was dedicated to her journey of sobriety and hard work. she also followed her lord and faithfully dedicated to her church. she focusing on bettering herself for her son, Braxton. Her genuine, and friendly nature endeared her to all who knew her, leaving a lasting impression with her beautiful smile and kind spirit. Shawna had a unique ability to touch the hearts of those around her and will forever be remembered as a beacon of love and light in the lives of many. May her memory be a blessing, and may her legacy of love and resilience live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence. A celebration of life will be held on a later date at the convenience of her family. | |||
