![]() ![]() Born in Wayland, Kentucky, on December 18, 1951, to the late Thurman and Freda Turner, Tommie was the cherished middle daughter in a family of five girls. Her early life in Kentucky laid the foundation for her strong family values and sense of community. The Turner family's relocation to Marion was a turning point, where Tommie attended Harding High School and later met her soulmate, Larry Timmons.
