![]() ![]() He was born September 7, 1956 in Newark to the late Charles Rardon and June (Hughes) Rowland. Carl grew up in Utica and graduated from Utica High School, he then went to Toledo University where he graduated with a Math Major. From there he went to Nyack New York to attend the Alliance Theological Seminary. Carl took his family to Botswana Africa where he served as a Teacher and Preacher in the small remote village of Kgobojango. He and his family returned to the United States and he began working for Scott's in Marysville as a chemist. Upon returning from Botswana after a second term in the mission field, he began working for Honda Research & Development as Senior Systems Engineer and retired in 2015. In retirement he taught at Marion Technical College as an adjunct Math Teacher. He was a member of the Cornerstone Alliance Church in Marion. Carl was a devoted husband that truly loved his family. He gave financially to many charities and supported children through Compassion International. Carl was sacrificial in giving of his time and resources to his family and friends. He loved animals, reading, writing, history, skiing, camping and was not afraid of hard work. He made it a priority to help his children with their farm work and their business. Surviving is his wife, Lauren (Ullom) Rardon, they were married August 30, 1975 in Utica Their children; David (Mimi) Rardon, Marion, Stephen (Christina) Rardon, Holly Springs, North Carolina, Matthew (Laura) Rardon, Raleigh, North Carolina and Fransisco (Valerie) Kgoboko, Botswana, Africa Daughter-in-law, Emily Rardon Grandchildren: Wesley, Aya Lauren & Nathan, Silas, Adeline Siblings: Don Renner, Columbus, Beth Titus, Cincinnati, Clifford and Linda Rardon, Newark, Marcie Van Meter, Utica, Judy Dunlap, Galena, Jennifer and Todd Rodeniser, Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, Donny Rardon, Raleigh, North Carolina A Memorial Service Celebrating Carl’s Life will take place Saturday January 8, 2022 at 12 noon at the Cornerstone Alliance Church in Marion, Sam Wolf will officiate. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 10 am at the church. Memorial gifts may be made to the Gideons International, an organization that Carl belonged to.
