John W. Lydic Jr. | |||
![]() ![]() He was born April 13, 1951 in Johnstown, Pa. to the late John W. “Jack” and Lorraine (Elkin) Lydic Sr., he was also preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Lydic. John was an electrical engineer, having worked in the Tech field for many years. His latest job was working with Technologic Systems, based out of Arizona. John was an avid amateur radio hobbyist, K8LVZ was his call. He also had been very active with the Union County E.M.A.. John was an N.R.A. member and counselor, he taught classes on firearm safety and hunters’ education. He also was trained to teach the instructors. John was someone who was very inquisitive, he was always looking for his next challenge in life. Some of his enjoyments were computers, bee keeping, martial arts (he was a Brown Belt in Karate) and scuba diving. A very knowledgeable man on many different fronts, one of his great pleasures was sharing this knowledge when asked. Surviving is his wife Joyce L. (Hoffman) Lydic, they were married April 17, 1982 in Richwood, also surviving are his children: Emily Koreen Lydic of Boston, Ma., Peter Alan Benner of Powell and Michael Andrew (Doris) Benner of Parma Sisters: Laurie (Cort) Bowers of Seward, Pa. and Maureen Lydic of Key West, Fl.
