Vernon Alderson
Vernon Alderson, age 89 of Raymond died Thursday morning, August 12, 2010 at Heartland of Marysville. He was born August 23, 1920 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Albert Henry and Jenny Alderson.
On March 5, 1968 he married the former Rosemary Speakman and she survives.
He was a welder who worked for Marion Power Shovel and Plant City Steel. Vernon was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during WWII.
Besides his wife, he is also survived by a son, Lee Alderson, Raymond; two brothers and a granddaughter, Madelyn Alderson. He was preceded in death by one sister.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
The family is being assisted by the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood. Memorial gifts may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
