![]() On November 12, 1958 she married Paul David Yates and he died March 19, 1993. She worked as a night auditor for Courtyard by Marriott in Worthington and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She and her husband owned and operated Hercules Industries in Prospect from 1968 to 1993. The most important thing in Virginia’s life was her family, especially her grandbabies. She is survived by a son, David Yates, Columbus; a daughter, Julie Spicer, Dublin; and grandchildren Lauren and Anna. She was the youngest of fourteen brothers and sisters, and was particularly close to her sisters Esther Cain and Dorothy Calley. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Cora (James) Thomas, Prospect; Diane Yates, Marion; brothers-in-law, Wayne Cain, Portland, Oregon; Ernie Lee Massie; Walter Yates; Forest Ray Yates, all of Marion. Public calling hours will be Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 2 to 4 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect. Private family services will take place on Monday.
