Ruth Penney
Ruth Ilene Penney, formerly of Richwood, died Thursday July 24, 2008 at 12:30 pm at the Memorial Hospital of Union County. She was born June 5, 1923 in Union County to the late Eldridge W. and Francis Pauline (Perine) Dangler.
In October, 1947 she married Franklin P. Penney and he died March 20, 2000.
She was a member of Community United Calvary Church and the Richwood VFW Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed playing euchre and cooking, and loved watching nature out her windows. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a son Rex (Angela) Penney, Richwood; two daughters, Linda Penney, Richwood; Sabra (Mark) Kemp, Raymond; grandchildren, Logan (Alicia) Rife, Noah Kemp, Dwight, Kent and Aaron Penney, great-granddaughter, Kailee; and a sister, Grace (Dick) Shaw, Richwood. She was preceded in death by a son, Mike and a granddaughter Michelle.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Community United Calvary Church, Richwood.
