![]() She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Marysville and a 1938 graduate of Raymond High School. An active member of the Richwood Civic Center, she was a volunteer for the lunch program there. She also volunteered many hours at Memorial Hospital of Union County. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts and was active with the Retirees Group at the former B. F. Goodrich in Green Camp, where she had worked for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Family above all else was most important to her; her kids and grandkids were her life. On June 17, 1939 she married R. H. “Squirrelly” Cowgill and he survives. She is also survived by a son William R. (Connie) Cowgill, Marion; a daughter, Paula J. Patton, West Mansfield; a brother, Gerald “Bud” Steirhoff, Indian Lake; a sister, Alice Courter, Raymond; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and special friends Dave, Bert and J. R. Mohler, Richwood. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Patton; a brother, Edward Steirhoff; two sisters, Christine Burnside and Thelma Beeney. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Barry Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.
