Alma Gertrude McPherson

Alma Gertrude McPherson, 87, of Prospect died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at Marion General hospital.
She was a homemaker.
She was born April 26, 1915, in Union County to the late Forrest W. and Anna Taylor Smith and was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers. She married George L. McPherson Feb. 14, 1937, and he died in 1999.
She is survived by a son, Sam (Debbie) McPherson of Marion; a daughter, Sondra (Ed) Anderson of Sandusky; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Simmons of Newark; and a special family friend, Ron Vanest of Prospect.
According to the request of the deceased, private family services were held today at the Prospect Cemetery with the Rev. Daniel A. Kiger officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect United Methodist Church building fund, 203 N. Elm St., Prospect, Ohio 43342.
Arrangements were handled by the Gehm-Ballinger Funeral home in Prospect.
