![]() Magnetic Springs, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was a graduate of Richwood High School and retired from the O.M. Scott Company in 1982 after 23 years of service. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and was a member of Marysville VFW Post 3320 and Scotts 20-Year Club. He had attended the Claibourne Advent Church and the Pharisburg United Methodist Church. One of his passions in life was playing bingo and he played at many places in the area. He enjoyed raising sheep, gardening, playing euchre and fishing and taking precise care of his lawn and landscaping. He loved his whole family very much. He was born May 2, 1920, in Richwood to the late Roy and Ruth Lake Mannasmith and was predeceased by a granddaughter, Stacey Guy; two brothers; and two sisters. He married Wilma J. Spain July 11, 1948, in Marysville and she died Dec. 14, 1991. He is survived by a daughter, Colleen (Linn) Fiant of Caledonia; two sons, Larry (Tammy) Mannasmith of Radnor and Bruce (Cindy) Mannasmith of Marysville; grandchildren, Julie Guy, Wesley Mannasmith, Jarrod Mannasmith, Devon Mannasmith, Aubri Mannasmith and Carlye Mannasmith; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Chase Guy. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Dan Grose will officiate and burial will be at the Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Union District Veterans Memorial. | |||
