On March 13, 1988 he married the former Ronda K. Hunt in the First Church of the Nazarene in Marion and she survives. lived his entire life in Marion County. He graduated from Morral High School and on January 8, 1951 he married the love of his life, Madonna Thome, who survives. They shared 62 years together.
