Mr. Higgins was a retired farmer and attended Espyville Enterprise Baptist Church. He also was a member of Meeker Senior Citizens.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Paul McKenzie officiating. Burial is in Price Cemetery. Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Surviving are two sons, Roger M., Meeker, and Ben F. Marion; a daughter, Mrs. John ( Virginia) Scranton, Marion; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A brother is deceased.
