Robert Shumway Spencer, 82 of Richwood died Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Union County.  He was born October 15, 1932, in Paxton, Illinois, to the late William Colwell and Pearl Lauretta (Lower) Spencer. On May 3, 2003, he married the former Sue Ann Gibson in Fort Worth, Texas, and she survives. Bob was proud of his military career, serving in Korea, Viet Nam, and being named Recruiter of the Year before he retired in 1965. more...
