She is survived by her husband, Kenneth VanZant, whom she married Aug. 28, 1930, in Kirkpatrick. Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara J. She was born March 21, 1915 in Marion to the late George and Gertrude (Landon) Simmons. On February 13, 1944 she married Darrell C. Vermillion and he died May 10, 1963.
