On May 30, 1946 she married Walter “Jr.” Sanderson in the Pharisburg United Methodist Church and he died February 25, 2004. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Waldo, John, Claude Jr., Cecil and James Garee and a sister, Joan Smith.
She worked for seventeen years as a clerk for the Union County Treasurer’s Office. Before that, she had worked at the Polio Center in Magnetic Springs, and the Richwood Gazette.
