She was one of eight children, born on November 11, 1931 in Red Branch, West Virginia to the late Orville R. and Freda E. (Williams) Barnett. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert; a sister, Maxine and four brothers, Ray, Harold, Bill and Dick.
